My New Years Eve Outfit & Our 2017 Resolutions

Top - River Island
Velvet Jacket - Primark
Sequin Skirt - Boohoo
Knee High Socks - Primark
Shoes - River Island

Happy New Years Eve everyone! We are waving goodbye to 2016 and saying hello to 2017! I think 2016 has been my best year in a very long time to be honest so I'm hoping 2017 will be another good year. There's no better way to bring in the New Year than wearing sequins! I bought this gorgeous mermaid inspired top from River Island in the sale! I love the colours of the sequins, they are just so so so beautiful! There is no such thing as too many sequins for us so I'm also wearing my black sequin skirt from Boohoo! I'm wearing my gorgeous babydoll gothic boots from River Island too. I love this outfit, I wish I could wear it 24/7!

Our 2017 Resolutions
  • Keep positive - I think I have really improved at keeping positive and it makes all the difference! I would love to feel more positive about myself and to love myself more.
  • Art, art and more art! - Art is one of my favourite hobbies. There is just nothing better than looking at a piece of work that is your creation. Selling my art is something I would love to do in the future as it's something I love and making a little bit of money would just be a big bonus.
  • Keep blogging - I think this is the fourth blog I've made now and I'd love to stick to blogging because I love being part of this little blogging bubble. It's also a good excuse to buy more makeup and clothes I think!
  • Music - Me and Leah love love love music, it's our life! I would love to be in a band, make more music and have more faith in myself! We also want to put videos on our youtube of us playing guitar and drums (check out our Youtube here!)
What are your resolutions for 2017? Happy New Year everyone!

EYELINERS - Sleek Dip It & Bourjois Queen Attitude Kohl
LASHES - Maybelline Lash Sensational
EYEBROWS -  Maybelline Brow Fixer
LIPSTICK - Unicorn Blood Jefree Star
FIXING SPRAY - NXY Matte Finishing Spray

Hey everyone, welcome back to another post! Today we have a face of the day. With a new year fast approaching, I wanted to spice up my usual makeup look. Lately I've been obsessed with dark eyes and cat flicks and I've been neglecting my beloved collection of red, dark and gothic lipsticks. I couldn't go without red lipsticks once upon a time (we wanted to be Marilyn Monroe) but things have changed and I'm now a lover of the beauty of a nude lipstick - think 60's makeup!

But I love makeup, the best thing about it is that you can experiment each and everyday with bold and fun looks. So, I decided to pull out all my red lipsticks again and I found Unicorn Blood by Jefree Star! Oh my God, this is the most perfect lipstick ever, not to mention the colour is to die for. Despite my bold lips I couldn't abandon my dark eyes or kitty flicks! Who says you can't do both? Red lips and dark lips for the win.
A recent find has been the absolutely amazing and versatile Maybelline The Nudes palette! for just £10, you get 12 shades that are mixtures of matte and shimmer that create the most perfect smokey eye! I also use this on my eyebrows to fill them in.
I kept my base the same as usual, the Stay Matte foundation and the Collection concealer have been holy grails for years now because they're perfect for pale skin. I'm all about glowing highlighter and my mum bought me a bloggers favourite, MUA undress your skin. Budget friendly and absolutely gorgeous, I definitely recommend it! Brows, Blush and a quick spray of NXY finishing spray (which is UH-AMAZING) and I'm all done!

What is your favourite red lipstick?

Christmas 2016 Presents | The Body Shop, Pandora & Tigi Bedhead

I hope you all have had a wonderful Christmas! Christmas still isn't over yet though. I'm still relaxing, being cozy and watching films all day! I wanted to blog about a few of my favourite presents that I got this year, mainly beauty products because who doesn't love a good pamper day? My mum and dad bought us a box full of amazing The Body Shop products! I started using The Body Shop products recently and I absolutely love their products. I prefer The Body Shop products over Lush products because they don't upset my skin, are less expensive and just overall better than Lush in my opinion! I've got to say my favourite is the Hemp range! My skin has never ever ever felt this SOFT! My skin just feels like silk and I'm not even kidding! I've never tried Hemp before because I usually love fruity or sweet smelling stuff but Hemp smells really vintage which is weird as we all know Hemp and cannabis come from the same plant! I love the fact that The Body Shop use natural pure ingredients, the hippy in me loves being au naturale. The Argan Oil range is just perfect too. The scrub and body lotion are a treat to use! The Aloe skincare has made me feel 1000% better about my skin. My skin has broke into spots recently which makes me feel really low about myself. The Aloe really calms down my skin and makes me feel so much more confident about my skin. The overnight cream is just amazing! I wake up and my skin looks transformed! The Aloe range is perfect for sensitive skin. I am just obsessed with The Body Shop now! They make the most perfect products for a pamper day!
I cannot wait to use my new shampoo, conditioner and deep conditioning mask from Tigi Bedhead. Tigi is an amazing brand that I've been using on my locks for years now. The set I got is especially for coloured hair which is infused with sweet almond oil, coconut oil and keratin. Plus, it smells exactly like Toffee... mmm, yum!
Next up is my gorgeous Pandora ring from my Nan (thanks Nan!) I love this ring. It's so beautiful and looks like two rings in one! This is a tiara shaped inspired ring which is good for me as I like to think I'm a princess haha. I just think you can't go wrong with Pandora! The jewellery is just beautiful.

What did you guys get for Christmas this year?

Merry Christmas and our blogging return!

Hey everyone, Merry Christmas! It seems so unreal that another year has nearly passed but right now lets just enjoy Christmas before talking about New Year! I hope you're all having a wonderful Christmas. Leah and me have decided to make a return to the blogging world! Our most successful blog was called Beyond the Velvet but we gave up on that blog last year. I'm not too sure why we gave up blogging but I've really missed our little space on the internet these past few months! Our last post was on April this year when our blog was called Leah Rachel Goth. You might've noticed that our new blog name is Cyber Mermaids! A new start calls for a new blog name right?! Cyber Mermaid seems like a perfect name for our little blog as me and Leah have a big love for alternative fashion and makeup that makes a statement! We also love mystical things like Unicorns and Mermaids! Who doesn't love Unicorns though? Make sure to follow this blog on Bloglovin'! I hope you're all having a very very Merry Christmas! See you all on the next post!

Demonia Pentagram Black Canvas Platform Mary-Janes

Firstly I apologize for the amount of dog hairs on my beautiful shoes! Anyone that has a pet knows the struggle of getting pet hair on clothes (in my case, shoes) I tried to get as much dog hairs off my shoes as possible but they just didn't budge!!

Oh well, these shoes speak for themself! I was looking for a pair of alternative shoes and I came across these beautiful shoes on a website called alternative-footwear. These shoes are from a brand called Demonia. I haven't heard of this brand before but I saw these shoes and just needed them in my life!

I love pentagrams and I didn't think i'd have my very own pentagram shoes! These shoes are very high but they are the most comfortable shoes ever and I can actually walk in them! I love the detail. The ruffle lace trim is just so cute and babydoll. The studs are another thing I love about these shoes as it just adds so much detail! Honestly, I can't get over how perfect these shoes are! They are my dream shoes. These shoes are probably the most expensive shoes i've bought it awhile as they are £60 but with all the detail, I can't really complain. I can see myself wearing these shoes for a very very long time! I recommed these shoes to everyone that has a gothic, alternative, babydoll style!

What do you think of these shoes?
Would you buy any shoes of alternative-footwear?

Lush Love Lettuce Face Mask

I think buying Lush products is always a nice treat! The last face mask that I bought was the cupcake face mask that I absolutely loved. The only thing that puts me off buying Lush is that it's so expensive! This small pot was £6.75! Me and Leah went into Lush yesterday though and decided to treat ourselves to the Love Lettuce face mask!

Like all Lush products, Love Luttice is made with fresh natural ingrediants. I think natural products are the way to clear beautiful skin! Some of the ingrediants in this face mask are lavender oil, honey and almond oil along with 11 more natural ingrediants! I really love this mask as it mainly smells of lavender! I wanted to buy a mask that would reduce the amont of oil on my skin and that was suitable for acne prone skin. Love Lettuce is perfect for reducing sebum thanks to the lavender oil and the honey in this mask also moisturises the skin. This mask is also very exfoliating. After using Love Lettuce, my skin feels and looks cleaner andmuch brighter too! I feel like my skin can breathe again!

I recommend this mask to everyone especially those with oily, acne prone skin! This mask works wonders on my skin and I can see myself buying Love Lettuce again once it runs out despite it being £6.75 which is quite pricey for a face mask. A short but sweet review but I think this mask kinda speaks for itself! Love Lettuce is simply amazing and a must have in my pamper routine!

What is your favourite Lush face mask?
Would you try Love Lettuce?

Our MAC Lipstick Collection! Review And Swatches

L-R: Diva, Russian Red, Film Noir, Darkside, another film noir, Spice It Up, Media, Dubonnet, Verve, Gunner, Cyber, Taupe, Sin, Studded Kiss, Spirit
L-R: Diva, Russian Red, Film Noir, Dark Side
L-R: Spice It Up, Media, Dubonnet, Verve, Gunner, Cyber, Taupe, Sin, Studded Kiss, Spirit.
So this is our very first blog post on Leah Rachel Goth! And whats better than coming back into the blogging world with a MAC post? Me and Leah are hardcore lipstick junkies, we have about ten thousand lipsticks in every colour. MAC is probably my favourite brand for lipsticks. Who hasn't got a MAC lipstick in their makeup stash??

Diva: This was one of the first MAC lipsticks I ever bought and it still remains one of my favourites. This lipstick is a burgundy/red shade with a matte finish. It's a really pigmented shade that stays on for hours. I can see myself buying this lipstick again and again and as you can see by my pictures, I am definitely in need of another Diva lipstick!

Russian Red: This was one of our 19th birthday presents. This is a beautiful red shade and it's perfect to wear all the time. Russian red is also a matte lipstick with a creamy texture. This is one of my favourite red lipsticks to wear as it hasn't got any orange or pink tones in it.

Film Noir: I think Film Noir is one of my favourite lipsticks ever! I love this shade as it's a dark brown with reddish undertones. Film Noir has a satin finish so it stays on for a few hours before it wears off. I think its also a really really really pigmented shade! This one is definitely a shade for girls that love the darkside of life!

Darkside: This is such a beautiful lipstick. This is a lustre and I hate the finish of this lipstick as it doesn't stay pigmented at all and it doesnt stay on all that long either. I probably wouldn't buy this lipstick again just because it doesn't stay on which is a shame as I love this shade.

Spice It Up: Another lipstick I wouldn't buy again is Spice it up! Ive tried my hardest to love this lipstick but it's too light for me and it also stays on for 10 minutes if I'm lucky... Lustre lipsticks from MAC are just not my thing.

Media: I fell inlove with this lipstick when I first spotted it on someones blog last year! This is such a gorgeous lipstick shade and it stays on for a really long time. It's also very pigmented. This is the perfect lipstick for Autumn and Winter as it's a real berry/plum shade!

Dubonnet: I love this lipstick. This is another red lipstick that's a true red. I recommend this lipstick to everyone as it's a gorgeous colour.

Verve: I don't really like nude lipsticks but I absolutely love Verve! It's such an amazing nudish/brown shade. This one is for everyone that loves that 90's look.

Gunner: A limited edition lipstick that I bought last year. I admit that I haven't wore this one much at all but it's an eye catching purple lipstick!

Taupe: I think this is probably the most nude I would go with a lipstick. I love wearing this lipstick when I have lots of eye makeup on and I want a more natural lip look.

Sin: This is my favourite lipstick ever! I got this for my birthday this year and it's probably the lipstick that I've wore most of this year already!

Studded Kiss: This one is basically Diva lipstick but it's more of a red shade. I love this lipstick, it's one that I'll always have in my MAC stash.

Spirit: Another one of my nude lipsticks that I love wearing. This lipstick looks so pretty and really natural with a hint of a nude brown tone that looks really beautiful.

So thats mine and Leah's MAC lipstick collection!
